Institut Lyfe's Research and Innovation Centre is equipped with an 80 m2 multi-sensory immersive eXperience hall (MIXH), capable of projecting images (interactive 3D with sensory interactions, 360° vision, HD around users, and diffusing sound, hot or cold air, misting, odours). All this equipment can be used to place several people, or even dozens of people, in an immersive situation, whether for applications linked to scientific research, agri-food R&D or events.
The aims of this tool are to :
create, observe and analyse collective multi-sensory experiences (sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste) that are modular, adaptable, renewable, reproducible and easily controlled
test, train and inform by working on both the context and the senses
We can mobilise all our senses to create experiences through :
real or fictitious situations, coherent or not
multi-sensory group immersions
interactivity
100% spatialised stimuli
connected objects
Why carry out quantitative research in immersive conditions? To understand the interaction between the product and the consumer in different contexts, in order to identify the best product-context pairing and risky offers.
Why conduct qualitative research in an immersive environment? To place stakeholders and consumers in different environments in order to stimulate their creativity in the ideation of new products and/or concepts and the identification of new needs.
