Food and Hospitality Symposium :
Multisensory Perspectives on Consumer Experience

We are excited to invite you to a symposium that focuses on multisensory perspectives of the consumer experience. Our event consists of two parts that link experience research and design thinking with food perceptions and sensorial analysis to explore and develop new research agendas and cooperation among the participants. The first two days on experience research are jointly organised by three leading institutions in the experience research field, Breda UAS, Haaga-Helia UAS and Institut Paul Bocuse, and sponsored by EuroCHRIE as an official small group meeting (SGM).

The third seminar day, with a focus on flavour perceptions and sensorial analysis, is organized by Institut Paul Bocuse Research Center. The aim of combining these events under one symposium is to create a truly multidisciplinary environment that can help to create new research directions and cooperation in these exciting fields of exploration. Where the first two days focus on how food and hospitality experiences can be designed and measured, the third day moves forward to a detailed analysis of the food experience through flavour and explores the business and public health implications this creates.

The program will come soon.

Lyon Tourism

Lyon has always been at the crossroads of European trade and is a passionate city which is a meeting place, and is both welcoming and open to the world. Its unique architectural heritage (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site), its reputation as the international capital of gastronomy, but also its cultural vibrancy and the audaciousness of its new urban developments, from the Confluence district to the banks of the Saône, now make it one of Europe's most prized and "trendy" city tourism destinations. Everything is in place to guarantee you an unforgettable experience: marvels of the past, contemporary innovation and the art of living.
