ACTIVITIES
Damien Foinant is a cognitive sciences researcher at Lyfe research center, affiliated with the LEAD – Laboratoire d’Etude de l’Apprentissage et du Développement – CNRS UMR 5022 in Dijon. Through his PhD project, he studied the associations between 2-to-6-year-old children’s levels of food rejection behaviors and their cognitive development. For him, this work was an opportunity to be at the interface among developmental sciences, nutrition, education, industries and politics, as well as close to children and parents. In his current project, he aims to understand better the negative correlation he observed during his PhD between children’s food rejection, knowledge and executive functions. More precisely, he wishes to determine the effect and cause of these relationships to identify levers of action for more effective education programs.
